Privacy Policy Overview:

Family Debt is committed to protecting your privacy. It is critical for all visitors and clients of Family Debt to feel confident that their privacy is protected.

Family Debt owns, leases, supervises and operates several websites, as well as a number of websites and/or domains that point to one or another of our websites.

From time to time, we may add additional websites and/or domains to our portfolio. Whether or not any particular site is specifically identified in this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy applies to any website owned, leased, supervised and/or operated by Family Debt. This notice also applies to all companies within the Family Debt family of companies. This Privacy Policy covers affiliates and other entities and/or names we are known as that provide administrative services to clients.  This Privacy Policy covers what we do with any personal information you submit or authorize us to obtain, as well as any other information that we may gather when you access any of our websites. This Privacy Policy also covers any of your personal and other information that any of our business partners may share with us.

Our policies and procedures apply only to websites owned, leased, controlled and and/or operated by us and those identified in this Privacy Policy. It does not include websites maintained by other companies or to any website to which we may link or to unrelated businesses with which we may share information.

What is "Personal Information"?

At time, we may collect additional information from you that may or may not be directly tied to you or your account.  This information includes, but is not limited to:  your City, State, Zipcode, your employment, etc. 

Collection of Information Online:

We collect certain types of non-personal information and technical data from each visitor to our website(s). Family Debt may set and access “cookies’ on your computer to track and store data you have entered while visiting familydebt.com.  “Cookies" are small files that are automatically placed on your computer when you visit a website. At Family Debt, a cookie is used to identify one unique visitor from another visitor. Our cookies are encoded so that only we can understand the data stored in them.  Cookies enable us to personalize and enrich your experience and are not tied in any way to your personal information

Sharing of Data Collected: 

Family Debt may disclose information we collect to non-affiliated third parties that are acting on our behalf, or as permitted or required by law.  We may also share your information with a third party that provides a service or supplies a specific functionality to us, such as a Client Support, Attorney, or banking institution.  These service providers will be provided only with the information necessary for them to perform their functions and are not allowed to share any of the provided information with others for any purpose whatsoever.

Additionally, we may share your information within our affiliate companies for a number of purposes, for example, to process your requests and to keep you informed of services that may be of interest to you. Any person we share your information with is also required to comply with federal and state privacy regulations and will have their own privacy policies that should be made available to you at the time you are first contacted.

By submitting your request and/or application you are consenting to being contacted by us or by one of our affiliates through any means, based on the information you provide to us. You inquiry to us waives any rights you may have if you have opted into the National Do Not Call List administered by the Federal Trade Commission, as well as any state Do Not Call List or the Do Not Call List of any specific institution.  If, after being contacted by us you decide you do not wish to be contacted again, you must make a specific request to the person contacting you. If, after being contacted by an affiliate or service provider you decide that you no longer wish to be contacted by that person again, you must make a specific request to the product or service provider, not to Family Debt Center.

Use of Data Collected:

There are several ways that we may use your information.  Your personal information is used to evaluate and service your account with us and to communicate with you as needed. 

Your information may be used to enhance your experience while visiting one of our websites. This is done by displaying content based on your preferences and also to send you information about additional services and/or products that might be of interest to you.

If Family Debt is merged with or acquired by another company, the successor company will have access to all of the information collected and maintained by us. In such a circumstance, the successor company would continue to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

Security of your information:

Family Debt uses a number of security measures to protect the security and integrity of your data. Once any personal data comes into our possession, we will take reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.  Some of the measures we take are:

·         Limiting access to personal information to those employees who are critical to the delivery of products and services to you.

·         Implementing appropriate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to guard against unauthorized access or use.

·         Requiring appropriate consents and protections from our business partners before we share any personally identifiable information.

Family Debt and its affiliates use commercially reasonable physical and technical security measures to protect all personal information in our possession. We cannot, however, guarantee or warrant the absolute security of any system or that any information we hold will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Correction and/or removal of your personal information:

If you believe there may be mistakes in any of the information you have submitted to us, please contact us immediately. To protect your privacy and security we may require that you verify your identity before we make any requested changes to personal information.

Choices You May Make for Your Privacy

You may choose to limit the way we share information about you. You may also choose to limit the solicitations we send you. Your Social Security Number:

If we do collect your Social Security Number, this Privacy Policy protects the confidentiality of your Social Security numbers, prohibits unlawful disclosure of your Social Security numbers, and limits access to Social Security numbers.

Children's Privacy:

Family Debt does not knowingly collect, use or share personal information about visitors under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, you can use the products and/or services offered on our website(s) only in conjunction with your parents or guardians.

Special Notification for California Residents

California residents who provide us with their personal information may request certain information regarding disclosures made to third parties for direct marketing purposes, including the names and address of those to whom such disclosures have been made. We reserve the right to contact our clients and/or website users regarding subscription or application status, changes to the agreements, Privacy Policy, Site Terms of Use or any other relevant policies or agreements.
